Returns Policy

We stand behind our products at Smartgolfgear.co.uk (the “Company”), and will gladly accept merchandise returns subject to the guidelines below.  Nothing in this Returns Policy affects your statutory rights.  If you have a question about your rights, you should contact the relevant trading standards authority.  This returns policy should also be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions of sale.  In the event of any  inconsistency  between this returns policy and the terms and conditions of  sale, the terms and conditions of sale will take precedence. The terms used in this Returns Policy have the same meanings as given in the terms and conditions of sale.
Prior to returning any Products to the Company for any reason, the Customer must contact the Company to state that they will be returning their purchase(s). All non-defective Products are returned at the Customer's risk and expense and should be undamaged by the Customer and in their original packaging. The Customer is responsible for returning Products to the Company and for providing proof of delivery of such return or, if the Product is not suitable for posting, deliver this to us.
The Company operates a 30 day return policy. To be accepted for return on this basis, Products should be returned for receipt by the Company within 30 days after the day you receive the goods.
If you change your mind within the cooling off period, we may reduce your refund of the price (excluding delivery costs) to reflect any reduction in the value of the Products, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop. If we refund you the price paid before we are able to inspect the Products and later discover you have handled them in an unacceptable way, you must pay us an appropriate amount.
The maximum refund for delivery costs will be the costs of delivery by the standard delivery method we offer on the Website. For example, if we offer delivery of a Product within 3-5 days at one cost, and this is identified as the 'standard' cost but you choose to have the Product delivered within 24 hours at a higher cost, then we will only refund what you would have paid for the cheaper delivery option.
Products that are specially constructed by special order and made bespoke for you or may not be returned. Any static-sensitive Products or moisture sensitive components supplied in sealed packaging may not be returned if the blister or 'peel' packs in which they are supplied have been opened, tampered with or damaged. 
When returning the Products, the Customer should return the Products clearly quoting the return materials authorisation number, Customer's account number and order number on the outside of the package.
The Company will not accept any refunds after the cooling-off period.
We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible after we have received the Products. This usually takes 3-5 working days.
Returning a Product   
Q: How do I return Products to the Company?
A: Contact Smart Golf Gear by email, info@smartgolfgear.co.uk, or phone, 01757 288007, to report your return.  A return authorisation number will be issued which will need to be quoted on the outside of the packaging along with your, customer account number and original order number.  The return should then be sent to Smart Golf Gear c/o The Oaks Golf Club, Long Lane, Aughton Common, Aughton, York, YO42 4PW.
Q: I submitted an order with an error, how do I amend it?
A: If you notice an error on your order once it has been submitted, please contact us at info@smartgolfgear.co.uk as soon as possible.

As our online order processing is very efficient it may not be possible to amend your order before it is despatched, however by contacting us as soon as possible it gives us more chance of amending the order before despatch.
1. Returns
1.1          If on delivery your Products are faulty or mis-described you can return these to us and we will issue you with a full refund. Please see our [returns policy] for more information.
1.2          You have 30 days to change your mind in relation to any Products that you have purchased. This right does not apply if you have used and/or damaged any Products. If you do use or damage the Products, you will be deemed to have accepted the Products.
1.3          To the extent permitted by applicable law, you do not have a right to change your mind in respect of:
1.3.1                Products sealed for health protection or hygiene purposes, once these have been unsealed after you receive them; and
1.3.2                a product created by special order made bespoke for you, i.e. personally fitter clubs.
2.              How to end the contract with us (including if you have changed your mind and returns)
2.1          To end the contract with us, please let us know by email at info@smartgolfgear.co.uk. Please provide your name, home address, details of the order and, where available, your phone number and email address.
2.2          If you end the contract for any reason after Products have been dispatched to you or you have received them, you must return them to us and the Products must be in their original packaging and undamagedIt is your responsibility to arrange for the Products to be returned back to us at Smart Golf Gear c/o The Oaks Golf Club, Long Lane, Aughton, York, YO42 4PW. If you are exercising your right to change your mind, you must return the Products to us within the Cooling-off Period.
2.3          We will pay the costs of return if the Products are faulty or mis-described. In all other cases, including if you are exercising your right to change your mind, you will be responsible for paying any shipping fees. If you do not return the Products in the original packaging, or the packaging is damaged, we will also charge you a fee in relation to re-packaging the Products. We shall communicate the fee to you following receipt of the returned Products however the fee shall be reasonable and shall cover the actual costs incurred by us in relation to the repackaging of the Products.
2.4          We will refund you the price you paid for the Products, by the method you used for payment. However, we may make deductions from the price, as described below.
